Springday copper slug net installed around a vegetable garden

Why choose the Springday net?

Double Barrier: Mechanical + Electrochemical

Flat twisted wire creates sharp edges (physical block) and multiplies contact surface ×3 to ×5 — multiplying the electrochemical reaction proportionally. Round-wire copies stay smooth, rigid and permeable. This net does not.

Conforms to Any Terrain — Zero Gaps

Its flexible structure adapts to uneven surfaces without leaving gaps. Continuous 15 cm barrier, extendable to 20 cm. No passage, even for the smallest slugs.

Lets Slugs Live

Slugs play a vital role in the soil ecosystem. This net repels them without killing them — garden in harmony with nature while protecting your harvest.

Springday flat twisted wire vs competitor round wire comparison

Exclusive technology

Flat twisted wire technology — not an ordinary copy

❌ Round wire (competitors): open mesh — small slugs slip through easily.

✅ Flat twisted wire (Springday): overlapping ribbons → dense copper core. Contact surface ×3 to ×5.

The net adapts to all your garden spaces

Frequently asked questions

Slugs live in the soil: can the net really help? +
This is the most common objection, and the answer often surprises people. The net keeps new slugs out. For slugs already inside, follow the Zero Zone protocol in 3 steps: install the net hermetically, then for 3 to 5 nights go out with a head torch and remove any slugs inside the perimeter (especially after rain). Once the zone is cleared, no new slug can enter or lay eggs: you get peace of mind for the whole season. On digging: slugs do not dig bypass tunnels. The flat wire's flexibility means the net presses against the ground. You can even bury it 2 cm deep for total security.
Does it work on raised beds, pots or window boxes? +
Yes, and the flexibility is the key. On a wooden raised bed: staple the net directly and create a slight overhang towards the outside. On a round pot: wrap the net around it and fold the top edge slightly outward. In open ground: the stakes and cable ties included in the kit ensure a tight seal at ground level.
The copper oxidises: does it stay effective long-term? +
The net lasts for years. Verdigris is normal and does not affect the structure. It can slightly reduce the electrochemical reaction on contact with slugs. Simple fix: once a season, wipe with a cloth soaked in diluted white vinegar (5%), rinse and dry. Tip: store it dry in winter to limit unnecessary oxidation.
Is 10 metres enough for my garden? +
One kit covers a standard bed of 2.5 m × 2.5 m, or a growing plot of 3 m × 2 m. Multiple kits connect easily end to end for larger areas.
