PRIVACY POLICY

Robin Chaumery is mindful of the rights of individuals, particularly with regard to automated processing, and, in a spirit of transparency towards the visitors to his website and his customers, has put in place a policy setting out all of these processing operations, the purposes pursued by them and the means of action available to individuals so that they can best exercise their rights.

For any further information on the protection of personal data, we invite you to consult the official website of your supervisory authority (the ICO in the United Kingdom: https://www.cnil.fr/).

The version of these terms of use currently online is the only one that applies for the entire duration of your use of the site and until a new version replaces it.

ARTICLE 1 – ACCESS TO THE SITE

Access to the site and its use are reserved strictly for personal use. You undertake not to use this site or the information or data contained on it for commercial, political or advertising purposes, or for any form of commercial solicitation, in particular the sending of unsolicited emails.

ARTICLE 2 – SITE CONTENT

All trademarks, photographs, texts, comments, illustrations, animated or still images, video sequences and sounds, as well as all computer applications that may be used to operate this site and, more generally, all the elements reproduced or used on the site, are protected by the laws in force relating to intellectual property.

They are the full and exclusive property of the publisher or its partners. Any reproduction, representation, use or adaptation, in any form whatsoever, of all or part of these elements, including the computer applications, without the publisher’s prior written consent, is strictly prohibited.

ARTICLE 3 – MANAGEMENT OF THE SITE

For the proper management of the site, the publisher may at any time:

  • Suspend, interrupt or limit access to all or part of the site, or reserve access to the site, or to certain parts of the site, for a specific category of internet users;
  • Remove any information that may disrupt its operation or that contravenes national or international laws;
  • Suspend the site in order to carry out updates.

ARTICLE 4 – LIABILITY

The publisher cannot be held liable in the event of any failure, breakdown, difficulty or interruption of operation preventing access to the site or to one of its features. The equipment you use to connect to the site is entirely your own responsibility. You must take all appropriate measures to protect your equipment and your own data.

ARTICLE 5 – HYPERLINKS

The placing by users of any hyperlinks to all or part of the site is authorised by the publisher. Any link must be removed at the publisher’s simple request. Any information accessible via a link to other sites is not under the control of the publisher, who declines all responsibility for its content.

ARTICLE 6 – COLLECTION AND PROTECTION OF DATA

Your data is collected by the site. Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

The personal information gathered on the site, with your explicit consent, is mainly used by the publisher to manage relations with you and to process and dispatch your orders. It is recorded in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Comments: When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, are collected to help us detect spam comments.
  • Contact forms: If you contact the publisher via the contact form, the data recorded (first name/pseudonym, email address, IP address, content of the message) is collected solely in order to be able to respond to your request. Under no circumstances will this data be passed on to third parties without your consent.

ARTICLE 7 – YOUR RIGHTS (RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION AND ERASURE)

In application of the European regulation (GDPR), users have the following rights: the right of access, rectification and erasure of data, restriction of processing, objection, and the portability of their data.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us:

Users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority (the ICO in the United Kingdom).

ARTICLE 8 – DATA RETENTION POLICY

Personal data undergoing processing is not kept beyond the time necessary to fulfil contractual obligations or for the legally required period (for example, the retention of invoices). Automatic purging processes are in place to delete data as soon as its retention is no longer justified.

ARTICLE 9 – SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

Personal data may be shared with third-party companies exclusively within the European Union (or with GDPR-compliant partners), in the following cases:

  • When the site uses the services of logistics providers to dispatch physical orders.
  • When the site uses secure payment gateways (Stripe, Paypal) to secure transactions.
  • Where the law requires it, in order to respond to complaints and comply with administrative and judicial procedures.

The third-party partner companies include in particular: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Stripe and Paypal (payment solutions).

ARTICLE 10 – SECURITY

The site’s publisher attaches the utmost importance to the security and integrity of personal data. The site is entirely secured by an HTTPS protocol (data encryption). Online payments are made via highly secure payment platforms (Stripe and Paypal). The site’s publisher itself has no access whatsoever to bank card data.

ARTICLE 11 – APPLICABLE LAW

These terms of use of the site are governed by French law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the publisher’s registered office, subject to any specific assignment of jurisdiction arising from a particular legislative or regulatory text.

ARTICLE 12 – COOKIE POLICY

In a spirit of transparency and digital restraint, the site limits the use of trackers and cookies as far as possible.

  1. Audience measurement (Google Analytics): The site uses Google Analytics to analyse page traffic anonymously (most-read articles, reading time). These cookies are only activated if you give your consent by clicking “Accept” on our cookie banner. You can browse entirely normally if you decline them.

  2. Embedded videos (YouTube): Crash-test videos from our YouTube channel are embedded on certain pages. During viewing, Google (the owner of YouTube) may place third-party trackers to manage its services or remember your preferences.

  3. Payment links (Stripe): No banking or basket cookies are managed directly on our HTML server. When you purchase the slug net, you are redirected to Stripe’s secure page, which uses its own technical cookies that are essential to securing the transaction.

  4. Managing and changing your choice: In accordance with the ICO’s guidelines, you can change your choice at any time. Simply click the “Manage cookies” link located in the footer of the site to instantly bring the consent banner back up and adjust your preferences.
