As a passionate experimental gardener, I ran into massive problems with slugs during my first two years in the vegetable garden. Nothing (eggshells, ash, you name it) seemed to work… even though, going by what you read online, everything was supposed to!

Faced with such a glaring case of misinformation, I decided to act: I tested every famous "slug barrier" out there to finally see clearly and know what actually works. I filmed my 13 tests (here, in French).

The results were clear-cut: nothing managed to effectively block slugs and snails, with the exception of:

Water, provided you dig trenches at least 5 cm deep and 10 cm wide;
Copper, when used vertically and at least 7 to 10 cm tall.

So I tested various copper-based barriers to protect my vegetable patch. After a dozen attempts, the "miracle barrier" was born: the slug net, made of flat, twisted copper wire, 15 cm tall (20 cm when well stretched), which saved both my harvests and my motivation to keep gardening.

It worked so well that I thought of making it available to everyone. And now, after taking the plunge into this entrepreneurial adventure, the slug net is on sale!
